Amicalola Falls
Amicalola Falls, one of the top rated waterfalls in the state of Georgia. Amicalola, which is Cherokee for “tumbling waters,” has more than seven falls in the State Park, including the tallest in Georgia at over 700ft.
DeSoto Falls
Located in the Chattahoochee National Forest, DeSoto Falls is a wonderful display of nature in all her glory. The falls themselves were named after Spanish explorer Hernando Desoto, who traveled during the 16th-century.
Helton Creek Falls
Located near Vogel State Park, Helton Creek Falls is a popular attraction for families, primarily because of the pool at the bottom of the falls—which you can swim in.
Raven Cliff Falls
Raven Cliff Falls is a bit on the trickier side when it comes to viewing, as there is a bit of a hike involved. However, if you can manage the five-mile round-trip hike, you’ll be in for a doozy of a view.
Anna Ruby Falls
Anna Ruby Falls is a local favorite in Helen, Georgia. There’s a fairly simple hike involved, but at around a half mile from the parking lot, you’ll be right at the base of the falls.
Minnehaha Falls
One of the many waterfalls near Tallulah Falls, and absolutely one worth mentioning. The 100-foot-stairs are prime real estate for a photo op during this ultimate road trip.
Panther Falls
Rabun County offers two waterfall gems: Panther Falls and Ammons Falls. Shown above is Panther Creek Falls, a sensational display of nature at its absolute best.
Holcomb Creek Falls
This magnificent waterfall is double the fun, as you can also hike to Ammons Creek if you’re feeling up to it.
Tallulah Falls
This is Talulah Falls in Tallulah Gorge State Park. Six different falls cascade into the gorge, creating a beautiful symphony of sounds. Make sure you snap some photos from the 80-ft suspension bridge.
Toccoa Falls
At around 186-feet, this free-falling waterfall actually sits on the campus of Toccoa Falls College.
